Go to Global Forest Watch – http://www.globalforestwatch.org/

Have students investigate the site, specifically:

1. The scrolling stats across the home page screen. Ask them to jot the stats down in their science notebook.
   *Special Note* – Students may want to continue taking a few notes as this lesson will require them to retrieve and analyze data.
2. Read and watch the 2:33 clip in the “About” section. (Tab across the top)
   
3. While on the same “How To” page click and watch “GFW Tutorial | Map”, from the beginning to minute 6:48.
