Environmental Impacts to the Gulf Coast: What do we know? What can we do?
The Texas coast faces many environmental threats including sea level rise, hurricanes, and extreme weather events such as Hurricane Harvey. As citizens, we need to develop sustainable solutions to mitigate and adapt to these threats. During this workshop formal and informal educators will be introduced to the current science surrounding these threats through discussions, hands-on activities, and field trips. Educators will also receive training on effective communication of these complex and sometimes controversial topics.
